Kate Elsey

Kate Elsey is an Australian artist inspired by her unwavering love for nature, expressed through intricate landscapes and colour forms of abstract expressionism. She creates an articulation of life in perpetual movement with a respect to static biomes – considering each work as an exclamation of the majesty of our planet.

Her artwork has been selected for numerous group exhibitions and prizes including the Paddington Art Prize, National Outback Art Award and twice finalist in the Natural History Art prize. Furthermore, the painting 150 Million Years, was awarded a high commendation and toured the South Australian Museum and Canberra Archives.

Over the past 5 years, she has had four solo exhibitions, as well as over 30 public commissions, with works being acquired by over 100 private collections throughout Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Kuwait, England and the USA.

Recently, major artworks have been acquired for the Ritz Carlton Suites in Perth and Melbourne. In addition to this, artworks are now being held by iconic corporate collections, including IHG Intercontinental Group Perth and the Leeuwin Estate Art Series, Western Australia.

In addition to two of Kate’s artworks being auctions at the Telethon Lexus Ball Perth for a total of $136,000 with all proceeds going to the Telethon Kids Institute, Kate’s belief in the power of art also sees her contributing work to raise funds for ground-breaking grass-roots organisations.
